Elder Christopher L. Howell is the son of Mrs. Aletha Howell and the late Mr. Charlie Howell. He is the fifth child of seven brothers and one sister. Elder Howell received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ back in 1990. After he was born again and living holy and upright before God. He married Sis. Valerie Howell and had two sons (Christopher Howell, Jr. & Benjamin Howell). The Lord started dealing with him about the ministry, still young in the Lord, he asked God when… God began to tell him to keep preparing himself. After two (2) years of preparation, God spoke to him through a fleece that he set before the Lord. He then consulted Elder Bellamy now Bishop Bellamy about what God wanted him to do. Bishop Bellamy told him God laid on his heart about a youth service. In November 1992, he preached his Initial Sermon (The Joy of the Lord is My Strength). This message set the stage for his ministry. What the Lord had laid on Bishop Bellamy heart about a youth service came to pass in 1993. He put Elder Howell in charge of youth night, and then a youth seminar, quarterly came forth. In that same year, some of the ministers started an Outreach Ministry which came on the radio 590AM WGTM out of Wilson, NC and they had many outdoor services.

 In January 1995, he was ordained an Elder. He has taught the Youth Sunday-School Class and later the Adult Sunday-School Class. His life has been controlled and directed by God. At the appointed time, the Almighty God revealed himself to him even the more. In August 1997, the Lord let him know when and where he wanted him to start a church and it was 317 E. Barnes St. Wilson, NC in October 1997. We had a Holy Ghost good time at this location and God moved in the services. We survived through the hot and cold weather, one bathroom for everyone to use, the sweating walls and the leaking ceiling that came in from a heavy rain, but through it all, God was still good. On Saturday, February 2, 2002, God blessed the church to open the doors of a new church location to worship and uplift his holy name. Within a short time, God blessed the church to purchase a lot for more parking and in May 2006, God blessed the church to pay off its mortgage in full. Through pastors’ ministry, a church was developed  in Tarboro, NC. God is yet moving our pastor to higher levels. Our pastor believes in getting the word of God out to lost souls. God has blessed the church according to his holy scriptures and through many trials and tribulations our pastor is still standing on the word of God. It has been Twelve (12) years and God is still in control of his life. We have grown yet again. God has blessed our pastor to pastor a temple in Greenville, NC for over one (1) year. Souls are yet being delivered through his ministry. We thank our Savior Jesus Christ, for blessing our pastor over the years and pray that God will continue to bless, and strengthen him to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, for he is a faithful steward of God, full of knowledge and wisdom of our Almighty God. Truly, we give high honor to this great man of God.
